Welfare Officer
Oguntoyinbo Oluwakemi Olubukola
Oguntoyinbo Oluwakemi Olubukola is a dedicated Social Welfare Officer in the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency under the Ministry of Justice. She functions within the Family and Child Protection unit, bringing her wealth of experience from her supervisory role in one of the major NGOs in Lagos State, Nigeria.
She works collaboratively with both the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Youth and Social Development to provide essential services to vulnerable populations, especially women and children. Beyond her official duties, she actively volunteers as a Medical Social Worker at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), and with several non-profit organizations including the Bimbo Odukoya Foundation, Jaymore Foundation, and Heritage Homes Orphanage.
She holds a B.Sc (Hons.) in Sociology, an M.Sc in Sociology (with a specialization in Social Work), a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, and a Professional Diploma Certificate in Social Development and Administration. She is also a certified counselor with professional skills in trauma recovery, addiction management, mental health, and psychotherapy, supported by vast experience in counseling individuals and families.
She is a certified member of the Nigeria Association of Social Workers (NASoW) and the Africa Network of Professional Counsellors (ANEPCO). She is widely recognized among her peers and colleagues in the Ministry for her passion, commitment, and impactful contributions to social work and advocacy.
With strong interpersonal skills, particularly in working with children and families, she is also a vocal and active advocate against child abuse and Gender-Based Violence. Her work is driven by innovation, education, and a strong belief in teamwork and collaboration for societal development.
