Bakare Kafayat Anuoluwapo

Bakare Kafayat Anuoluwapo (Vice Chairperson of NASoW Lagos) She is a seasoned and passionate professional social worker with over a decade of experience in mental health, substance abuse prevention, and community development. She currently serves as the Vice Chairperson of the Lagos Chapter of the Nigeria Association of Social Workers (NASoW). Kafayat is widely recognized for her outstanding contributions to social work and mental health advocacy in Nigeria. She was awarded Best Staff of the Year (2023) at the Federal Neuro Psychiatric Hospital, Yaba, and named Best Social Worker of the Year (2024) by the African Foundation for Mental Health Advocacy, where she also serves as the National Coordinator. Her leadership reflects a strong commitment to ethical practice, youth empowerment, policy advocacy, and driving systemic change in social welfare and mental health services across the country.
